New Mexico Work and Save Program on Hold Until Further Notice

The New Mexico Work and Save Program, a voluntary payroll deduction IRA savings program that had been scheduled to launch on July 1, 2024, has been put on indefinite hold because the state’s legislature failed to provide funding and make necessary statutory changes. There is no known date for the program’s revival. Employers in New Mexico should remain aware of this program’s status.
