Oregon Announces Updates for Paid Leave Benefit Amounts

June 17, 2026

On May 29, 2026, the Oregon Employment Department announced the annual adjustment to the minimum and maximum weekly benefit amounts for Paid Leave Oregon claims. The Employment Department recalculates these benefit amounts based on the state average weekly wage, which reflects the average wages of all employees across Oregon. For Paid Leave Oregon claims with benefit years that begin on or after June 28, 2026, the minimum weekly benefit amount will increase to $70.51 per week, and the maximum weekly benefit amount will increase to $1,692.16 per week. Claimants whose Paid Leave Oregon benefit year begins before June 28, 2026, will be subject to the 2025 minimum and maximum weekly benefit amounts for the duration of their benefit year.

Employers should be aware of this update and should review the announcement for further details.
